Manchester Alderman and State Senator Ted Gatsas announced his intentions to run for Mayor of Manchester today surrounded by supporters. Sighting his bipartisan leadership on budgets, solutions to the education funding crisis, more favorable utility rates for consumers, tax exemptions for senior citizens, and his work to streamline city and state government, Senator Gatsas said, “The combination of my diverse business experience and local and state government experience will allow me to lead this city and its people at a time when we need leadership most.” The campaign also announced that Executive Councilor and former Mayor Ray Wieczorek and long-time Manchester educator and coach Jim Schubert will serve as campaign co-chairs while Hillsborough County Registrar of Probate and former Alderman Bob Rivard will serve as the Fiscal agent. Additional announcements on ward captains and other committee positions are forthcoming. Senator Gatsas reaffirmed his commitment to resign his N.H.
