First Gatsas Fundraiser an Overwhelming Success; Effort Raises Over $100,000
Manchester, NH June 30, 2009 – The Gatsas for Mayor Campaign kicked off their fundraising efforts with a packed crowd at the Derryfield Country Club last night.  The estimated crowd was over 250 whom braved the rain in order to show their steadfast support for Ted in his effort to become the next Mayor of Manchester.

“Last night exceeded all of our expectations and was a great success,” said Gatsas.  “I have been talking directly with residents, asking for their opinions and input, and we’ve been receiving great feedback from our city-wide survey. The message from the residents and business owners in Manchester is clear; we need to maintain great services while controlling costs. These economic times represent a challenge for Manchester and we must work effectively to ensure a stronger tomorrow.”

The Gatsas for Mayor Finance Committee successfully raised over $100,000 in this first fundraising event.  Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.

“People were lined up to show their support for Ted last night. This is the level of support you get when you have a great candidate.  The energy of the crowd was equal to that of what you typically see a few days before the general election not four months out,” said Finance Committee Member Siobhan Tautkus.

Supporters who would like to make a contribution or, are interested in learning more, about the campaign can visit the Gatsas for Mayor website at www.tedgatsas.com.
